Evidence-Based Research: Mind-Body Connection and Nature Immersion
As a Whole Health Educator™ and a Certified Forest Therapy Guide, my background and training focus on a combination of nature immersion and other cutting edge research-based practices to support the stress response, which science is now showing to be at the root of modern disease. Evidence-based research demonstrates the direct connection between our thinking and its effect upon our physical body. This is called "The Mind-Body Connection." Neuroscience shows a direct link between movement and sensory input into the body, which in response, informs and regulates brain function. And, research in the field of nature immersion shows from just 120 minutes of time spent in nature weekly, a increased immune function, lowered sympathetic nervous system response, boosted mood, blood pressure regulation and more.
My work melds together the Mind-Body Connection and Nature Immersion. It includes "Body Hacks"- Breath work, Gratitude, Movement, Nature Immersion, Regulating and Calming The Sympathetic Nervous System (Fight or Flight Response) and Toning The Vagus Nerve through various techniques- all evidence-based practices for wellness. The Nature Immersion practices include, Forest Therapy, also called Forest Bathing; which includes guided sensory meditation.
Nature-Based Stress Regulation gives a potent jump start to one's ability to move from a sense of isolation and being stuck in misery, to experiencing a much greater reality. Tapping into this greater perspective is when true healing can flow. This is not talk therapy, but a whole health approach integrating the connection between mind, body and nature, through potent, simple techniques you will learn to make your own.

Nature-Based Stress Regulation with Reiki Energy Healing 90 minute session-offers Stress-Regulation Techniques followed by Reiki Energy Healing $120 This session offers facilitation in specific practices for stress regulation. You will learn, practice and gain tools to calm your body, mind, nervous system as you gain control of how you respond to situations and to your own thinking. Next, a Reiki energy healing session, will help you drop in to a state of blissful relaxation; calming your sympathetic nervous system, assisting movement of blocked energy.
Half-Day Group Class- (3-5 students) $80 per student Private Option- $120 (bring a friend and pay $90 each).
Reiki for Self-Care is for those who wish to become attuned to Reiki with the goal of self-care and stress-regulation, rather than a practitioner training. This class introduces and eases participants into working with Reiki healing energy. You will learn what Reiki energy is; become attuned to Reiki Level One and learn hand positions to practice Reiki self-healing. Self-Reiki is a powerful tool for blissful relaxation, stress-regulation and sleep support. Used as a daily practice, Reiki is balancing, meditative, calms the stress response and supports well-being on many levels.
This Half-Day , Reiki Level One Attunement workshop, with the goal of stress-management and daily self-care through Self-Reiki. Includes a training manual. (This is not a practitioner Certification Class).
