A Sensory Healing Journey: forest • reiki • sound bath
Offered First Sunday's 1/5/20, 2/2/20, 3/1/20 2pm-5pm $29 Pre-registered/$35 at Door Jackson Wellsprings, Ashland, Oregon
Join Forest Therapy Guide and Reiki Master, Sari Telpner, & Healing Sound Practitioner; Flute Player/Maker, Geri Littlejohn, for a, "Sensory Healing Journey." We begin with a "Forest Bath"-guided sensory immersion in nature, followed by a Healing Sound/Reiki Bath, immersing in the vibrational medicine of Native American Flute &hands-on and distant, Reiki Energy Healing. We'll complete our journey with a Wild Foraged Tea Ceremony.
We'll unplug and step away from our busy minds. As we drop into our sense body, we'll slow way down and connect in a new way with The Land, as well as ourselves and others during a Forest Bathing Walk. Throughout, you'll be invited to take part in "Circle Sharing." Once we have slowed down, our journey continues with a Healing Sound & Reiki Bath as we drop into vibrational healing with Geri's Native American Flute-healing sound bath, immersing in the "voices of the trees". Simultaneously, Sari will fill the space with Reiki Energy through her offering of distant and hands-on Reiki. Reiki is known for helping to clear energetic blocks, allowing healing to move through; supporting anxiety, sleep and physical, mental and emotional balance. A Wild Foraged Tea Ceremony will allow us to taste nature and prepare us to step back into the outside world.
Registration is limited to 22 people. Pre-registration required.
What to Bring: Forest Bath: Dress in very warm layers for outside, as we'll move very slowly, building no body heat during approximately 50 minutes outside. (seriously, dress in warm layers, including long johns, hat and gloves). (also for warmth during Reiki/Sound Bath).
Sound Healing/Reiki Bath: Pillow and Blanket or Yoga Mat Tea Ceremony: Let me know of any food allergies. Registration is limited to 22 people. Pre-registration required.
Pre-Registration & Arrival Time: Preparation for a Forest Walk begins a minimum of 2 days prior to the event. Trails are assessed and Tea Ceremony supplies are acquired based on number of registered participants. Therefore, it is the policy of Wild Wellness Guide that all participants pre-register at least 24 hours before the scheduled event, either through an Eventbrite link or through a PayPal Link which I will send you to hold your space. Arrival Time: This experience is sequential and builds on itself from the very beginning. Participants should arrive 15 minutes before scheduled start time as we begin promptly on schedule. Once our circle has formed and the experience begins, our "container" is sealed. If you cannot arrive to begin on time with the group, we can reschedule for another date.
Forest Bathing and Sound Healing Retreat: Embodied Nature Connection
May 22-25, 2020 - Memorial Weekend Breitenbush Hot Springs, Detroit, Oregon
Join Wild Wellness Guide for 3 days of slow time, rest and self-care, through nature immersion and sound healing. We'll bathe in the healing medicine of the forest, sound vibration and the natural healing waters, at Breitenbush Hot Springs Retreat Center, set in the wilderness of The Willamette National Forest.
Certified Forest Therapy Guide, Sari Telpner and Sound Healer and Forest Therapy Guide, Joy Evans, will facilitate this weekend of embodied nature connection.
“The Forest is the Therapist; The Guide Opens the Door”
This is a weekend for rest, self-care and crossing a threshold into the “liminal.” We’ll awaken our senses and slow way down, connecting with nature, ourselves and others in a new way. Facilitated “invitations” open our doors of perception to the forest, offering deep sensory connection and helping us notice where we are and what we feel. As we become fully present to ourselves, we witness the world around us with new eyes. Each forest bathing session is unique and includes sharing circles and tea ceremony. Sound healing with crystal singing bowls will offer mind/body relaxation and balance our subtle energy bodies allowing a playful flow of energy between forest, river, and ourselves.
Sari Telpner is a Certified Forest Therapy Guide, Health Educator and Reiki Master. She is passionate about the healing medicine of the forest and repairing the planet through deep nature connection. Joy Evans, MSW (she/her) is a Level II Certified Sound Healer and a Forest Therapy Guide. “Grounded in joy, moving with love, planting peace.”
