Sari Telpner- EcoNIDRA Teacher, Forest Therapy Guide
Welcome, I'm Sari, a Certified EcoNIDRA™ Teacher & Forest Therapy Guide, Nature-Based Health Educator; Reiki Master/Teacher and founder of Wild Wellness Guide. Thank you for taking the time to learn about my offerings. As a Health Educator, I am grateful for the opportunity to share my passion working in collaboration with the healing balm of nature-based practices for transformational relaxation and stress regulation. My offerings are available locally in Ashland, Oregon and also for destination retreats. Some offerings take place remotely. I work with individuals, groups and businesses, offering EcoNIDRA™, Forest Therapy Experiences and Reiki Energy Healing. When I'm not engaged in my work, you may find me under one of my favorite trees or by the water, relating with the wild world, hiking, practicing qigong; immersing in ice water (Whim Hof Method), reading, fermenting, connecting with family and friends, or writing about physical, emotional, nutritional, environmental and spiritual health.
What led you to focus your work on nature immersion and stress reduction?
I began my path into healing and healthcare, while raising my children who are now adults. During that time, I completed degrees in Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (C.O.T.A.), Health Promotion/Fitness B.S. and Master of Arts in Teaching Health Education. I have years of experience as an allied health care provider and educator, which led me to become a credentialed Health Educator and Reiki Master. This work soon helped me to discover the healing power of nature which led to my Certification as an ANFT Forest Therapy Guide and my Certification as an EcoNIDRA™ Teacher.
I have always had a close relationship with nature but a health crisis several years ago, led me to rediscover this connection in a deeply personal and very transformative way. It was a traumatic time as I was violently catapulted from my previous life and work and thrown into a healing crisis that I was not sure I would ever climb out of. During this time, the natural world came to my rescue. Through a new and much deeper connection to nature than I had ever had before, I literally regained my physical stamina and developed an ability to see myself, others and life in the the world with new perspective, grounded in embodied awareness and wholeness.
During this time, I tapped into my inner strength and discovered the power to support my own healing as I became a Reiki Master and earned my credential as a Whole Health Educator™. I found my way to wholeness through complementary medicine, energy healing, evidence-based research, gratitude, intuition, mind-body medicine, nature immersion and tears. Through painful work, came deep physical and emotional healing on all levels. It was a rebirth and re-connecting to my physical body; higher self and a sense of something much greater than myself-a sense of awe. While devastating, this experience was an incredible journey of awakening and healing. Though I always had a close relationship with the natural world, something shifted and nature fully opened to me, allowing for a deep new healing connection. I became clear that my mission is to facilitate people to explore the depths of what it means to be fully alive; offer unique tools for growth and healing and with the help of nature, guide people on their path to wholeness.
