Forest Tea Ritual Foothills Learning Center, Boise, ID
Public walks are 2 to 3 hour sessions with anywhere from 2 to 15 participants. These walks are generally designed for ages 14+ and/or adults. A forest therapy walk offers a new way to experience nature and connect with a community of of like-spirited people through this very unique sensory immersion in the natural world.
Public walks are offered in Ashland, Oregon at Lithia Park, other city parks or private locations. You’ll be facilitated by an A.N.F.T. Certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide, and will participate in specific activities called, "invitations", to assist you in experiencing the healing benefits of nature connection through sensory connection. Upcoming Forest Therapy Walks are posted below. You can also contact me for upcoming dates.

2023 Wild Wellness Guide is guiding one public forest bathing experience each quarter- Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. Next Forest Bathing Experience-Earth Day, April 22, 2023 (Details below)
Lithia Park, Ashland, Oregon Saturday, April 22, 2023 1:00 pm-3:30 pm Sliding Scale Donation- $25-$45
The theme of this year's Earth Day is, "Invest in Our Planet." In this facilitated practice we shift from our established, often passive surface-level engagement of nature to a deeper embodied, intentional and reciprocal relationship with The Earth. With this new perspective comes a depth of understanding-cultivating feelings of awe, gratitude, peace and an experience of "falling in love" with nature in a new way. What we deeply love, we protect.
Please join Wild Wellness Guide for a slow afternoon of rest and nature relation. Forest Bathing is a contemplative and playful practice. Through a series of sensory "Invitations", we'll slow down, unplug, relax and rest our active minds. We'll step out of our normal sense of time and orientation towards "doing" into an embodied way of "being", connecting in a new way with The Earth, ourselves and others as we rest and renew. We complete our experience with a wild forest tea ritual.

Registration and Arrival Time: Preparation for a Forest Therapy walk begins a minimum of 2 days prior to the event. Trails are assessed and Tea Ritual supplies are acquired based on number of registered participants. Therefore, it is the policy of Wild Wellness Guide that all participants pre-register at least 24 hours before the scheduled event through a PayPal Link I will send to you to hold your space.
Arrival Time: This experience is sequential and builds on itself from the very beginning. Participants should arrive 15 minutes before scheduled start time as we begin promptly on schedule. Once our circle has formed and the experience begins, our "container" is sealed. If you cannot arrive to begin on time with the group, we can reschedule you for another date.
What to bring and how to prepare? A small day pack; water and a snack if you like. (We will end the walk with tea and healthy snacks.) If the day is cold, you may want a thermos and hot drink. For hot days bring sunscreen/hat and bug protection if desired. If the weather iscold, please dress in layers to stay warm as we move at a very slow pace and don't work up body heat. Dress in more layers more than you think you will need in fall and winter- hat, gloves, long johns and a warm coat. It can be very chilly in the shade.Unless there is a downpour or violent storm, the walk will go on in the rain. If raining, it's important to have a waterproof shell including pants, and /or an umbrella. Rain enhances sensory experience and makes for some beautiful forest bathing experiences. Lastly, bring a towel. We may sit or lay on damp ground or have wet feet to dry.
Wild Wellness Guide Cancellation Policy for Public Walks: Preparation for your forest bathing session begins several hours before your arrival. I am unable to replace group members with last minute cancellations. Therefore I ask that any cancellation or rescheduling arrangements be made as far in advance as possible, with a minimum of 24 hour notice. Cancellations with 24 hours notice or more will be refunded. Emergency cancellation with less than 24 hours notice will be credited for a future forest bathing session within a 12 month period from cancellation date. No shows will be charged the full amount paid.
Inclement Weather: Forest Bathing sessions take place in most weather throughout the year. In cases of storms, lightning, pouring rain, or wildfire smoke at "Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups", sessions will be cancelled with full refund to registered participants.
